Marco Fossati

Marco has a double background in Natural Languages and Information Technologies. He has interdisciplinary skills both in linguistics and in programming. His research focuses on Natural Language Processing and Large-scale Structured Knowledge Bases and aims at driving the Web of Data towards its full potential.

He is currently leading the StrepHit project, funded by the Wikimedia Foundation.

He is member of the DBpedia Association board of trustees, founder and representative of its Italian chapter.

His current interests involve Structured Data Quality, Crowdsourcing for Lexical Semantics annotation, Content-based Recommendation Strategies.
